The Corporations Amendment (Accountability on Termination Payments) Act 2009 (Cth) commenced on 24 November 2009. According to the Explanatory Memorandum, it is aimed at ‘curbing excessive termination benefits’ and amends the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
